Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab was set up in 1942 at Lahore. It looks after the storage, management, and distribution of essential commodities. This legal body takes many steps and efforts to manage the work and enhance efficiency of the Department.

In this context, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab has issued notification for the recruitment of candidates under its recruitment program 2013. This notice has been released to fill the posts of Inspector Group B under the Department.

About Vacancies:

This Department of Punjab has invited online application from the eligible and interested candidates for filling 461 posts of department. The criteria and application procedures are explained further in this article.

These posts are further bifurcated into reserved class and unreserved class as per government rules. For details please refer notification.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

Applicant trying to get enrolled on these positions should be citizen of India, citizen of Nepal, subject of Bhutan, or Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1/1/1962.

Age criteria:

Applicants who wish to apply for these posts should be between 18 to 38 years of age. While unreserved class, widows & divorcee women, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-serviceman are given relaxation in upper age limit as per the conditions given in notification. The age of candidates will be considered as on date 30/9/2013.

Educational Qualification:

Job seeker must possess Graduation Degree from any recognized University or Institution. In addition, applicants should have passed in Punjabi Language examination of Matriculation standard. The educational qualification will be determined as on date 30/9/2013.

Application fee:

SC/ BC class candidates have to pay Rs 200 as application fees. And all remaining candidates have to pay Rs. 800 towards application fees. The fee should be deposited in Bank of Patiala.

Candidates who are eligible and want to apply for these posts have to go through online application method. The department has launched online application form on its official website www.foodsuppb.nic.in . Applicants should fill all individual and education information in the application form. They should complete this form in all respect as incomplete applications will get rejected. Candidates must pay application fees as per instruction and submit application online.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be made on the base of written examination. Merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of this written examination.
